Sleep bedtime calculator

Pick your wake-up time and how many 90-minute sleep cycles you want, and this works out your bedtime, allowing time to fall asleep.

How it works

Sleep runs in roughly 90-minute cycles. Counting back whole cycles from your wake time aims to wake you between cycles rather than in deep sleep. Most adults do well on five cycles (7.5 hours); treat the result as a starting point and adjust by how you actually feel.
